Claim settlement of eSewa Care

Claim, whether it is for discount on services or to get your benefits from insurance, customers feel a sense of annoyance. All customers think it is a hassle to get Claim from companies whether is a product-oriented company or service providers. Many people don’t even buy those due to the Claim hassle. 

Whereas eSewa Care, a health care package including accidental, and hospitalization covers of 230,000 provides not only a seamless process to buy insurance but also an easy claim process. An easy 3-step purchasing product also comes with an easy 3-step Claim. 

Claim process: 

  • Call: 

Customer can call eSewa’s Customer Support or the number provided in the SMS confirmation while purchasing eSewa Care. Customers can also call at the designated number of Himalayan Everest Insurance, insurance provider for eSewa Care.  

  • Share: 

After the call, the customer needs to share all the documents for the Claim verification & process.  

  • Receive: 

When the verification process is completed, customer will receive their Claim in their eSewa Wallet or Bank Account. 

Customers can visit any hospitals of Nepal and receive the Claim for the accidental treatment or to be hospitalized.  

 

Required documents for claim:  

  • Original document of doctor's prescription. 

  • Original document of discharge summary. 

  • Original bills of medical expenses. 

  • The claim form is provided by Himalayan Everest Insurance. 

 

Important Notes: 

  • Customers must request the Claim within 35 days of the Bill date. 

  • Documents will be verified by the Himalayan Everest team. 

  • The verification process will be started after receiving all the documents. 

  • The process may take up to 7-10 days. 

 

Potential reason for claim rejection  

  • Complications of pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, birth control, sterilization or infertility treatment. 

  • Mental or nervous breakdown, congenital or hereditary defects or conditions such as HIVs or any sexually transmitted disease, alcohol or substance abuse self-inflicted injury, suicide or any attempt, and organ transplant elective surgery. 

  • Prostheses Cosmetic plastic or reconstructive surgery if not the result of an insured injury. 

  • Hospital expenses outside Nepal. 

  • Routine tests such as eye exams, dental treatments or other tests will not be an emergency. 

  • Hospitalization expenses for any person less than 2 years and above 60 years of age. 

  • Pre-existing diseases or medical conditions will not be covered.
