Running a business comes with its own challenges and uncertainties. Unforeseen events can disrupt operations and impact your income. To help business owners stay financially protected during such times, eSewa has introduced Business Care, a comprehensive protection plan designed to safeguard your business and income.

In partnership with Himalayan Everest Insurance, Business Care provides Loss of Income and Accidental Coverage. With regular premium payments, it ensures financial support in case your business faces interruptions or you experience an accident.

What’s covered by Business Care?

  • Loss of Income: This policy provides coverage for loss of income resulting from business closure caused by fire, windstorm, flood, earthquake, landslide, lightning, explosion, aircraft damage, impact, spontaneous combustion, riot/strike, terrorism, or the owner’s death or hospitalization.

  • Hospital Bed Charge coverage: Covers reimbursement or direct settlement of expenses incurred for the insured’s accommodation in a hospital during inpatient treatment. This includes the cost of a standard room or cabin, as specified in the policy, along with basic facilities provided by the hospital. Coverage is subject to the policy’s sum insured, room category limits, and any applicable exclusions.

  • Accidental Treatment and Death: Helps you and your family stay protected in case of accidents. If you are injured in an accident, the policy covers your medical treatment costs. If the accident results in death, your family (nominee) will receive a fixed amount to support them financially.

  • Funeral and Transport expenses: Provides financial assistance to cover the costs associated with the insured’s funeral arrangements and the transportation of the mortal remains in the event of death. The benefit is payable up to the specified limit under the policy terms and conditions.

What’s not covered by Business Care?

  • Natural death

  • Loss of goods

  • Theft of goods/stocks

Claim Process

  1. The customer must first contact eSewa or HEI.

  2. The customer then needs to fill out the claim form.

  3. After that, the customer should submit the required documents.

  4. eSewa / HEI will review and verify the submitted documents.

  5. Once verification is complete, HEI will release the claim amount within 10 to 15 working days, provided that all requested documents have been received.

Terms & Conditions

  • No age limit for loss of income coverage; accidental coverage is valid for ages 2–60.

  • Policy duration is 1 year with 24-hour coverage.

  • Claims must be submitted within 30 days of hospital discharge.

  • Premium is fixed; an additional Rs. 310 applies for each employee added for accidental coverage.

  • Users are responsible for providing accurate and truthful information.
